Eloy Alfaro Bust (ca. 1951)

This Bronze painted plaster bust of Equadorin President Eloy Alfaro (1842-1912) is strongly attributed to Steven Rebeck as sculptor. It was produced for the Eloy Alfaro International Foundation by the Mazzolini Artcraft Co, Cleveland, OH, with whom Rebeck closely worked; his creation of such a work was recalled by an interviewed employee of Mazzolini, and Rebeck is pictured with a clay model from the Canton Repository newspaper Nov 20, 1951 as part of the creation process.
